Macros is short for Macronutrients, which is the basic breakdown of the food we eat.

There are MACROnutrients which are Protein, Fat, Carbohydrates, and then there are MICROnutrients which are the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, sugars and other things we get from our food. When we eat foods that are nutritionally void (heavily processed foods) our bodies remain starving at a cellular level. This causes us to get hungry faster, makes you overeat, and then pack on the pounds! When you’re choosing what goes on your plate next try looking for more whole food options.
